Aerohive simplifies enterprise networking by reducing the cost and complexity of today's networks.
Sunnyvale, Calif. —June 15, 2011 — Aerohive Networks, the pioneer in controller-less Wi-Fi and cloud-enabled networking, today announced that Future Plc, the special-interest media group, has deployed an Aerohive WLAN solution across its six UK offices. The WLAN will support Future’s increasingly mobile and IT-savvy workforce, and enable staff to test and promote its digital magazine applications on iPads and other smart mobile devices.
Implemented by Future’s ICT partner, LAN3, the Aerohive solution was selected for its rich functionality, ease of management and cost-effectiveness.

“We required a WLAN that could support our business needs and that of an increasingly digital industry,” explains Adam Romain, Network Administrator at Future Plc. “Similarly, employee use of laptops, iPads and mobile devices meant the deployment of a wireless LAN had become a business necessity. It also helps reduce 3G connectivity costs on business-issued iPads.”
“Thanks to Aerohive’s Wi-Fi solution, we are able to easily manage the entire wireless network from one single point, minimising the impact on our operational resources. We can then concentrate our efforts on supporting more innovative applications of IT that benefit our magazines, the advertisers and readership,” concluded Romain.
